By joining the Lava Car Rental Affiliate Marketing Programme, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
Lava Car Rental operates an online car rental booking platform in Iceland. The Affiliate participates in the Programme as an independent partner and agrees to promote Lava Car Rental’s services through approved marketing channels.
This Agreement is non-exclusive. Nothing herein shall be deemed to create an employment relationship, agency, partnership, or joint venture between Lava Car Rental and the Affiliate.
Lava Car Rental is solely responsible for customer service, booking management, and rental operations. All customer enquiries related to rentals must be directed to Lava Car Rental.
Affiliates are provided with unique affiliate links for tracking and commission attribution.
For tracking and commission purposes, bookings must be completed through the Affiliate’s unique affiliate link to be attributed to the Affiliate’s account.
Affiliates earn a 5% commission for each completed booking generated through their unique affiliate link.
Commission is calculated on the total booking amount, excluding:
No-shows, cancellations, unpaid, refunded, or fraudulent bookings are not eligible for commission.
Affiliates may offer their audience a 5% discount on the vehicle price via an official Lava Car Rental promo code designated for the affiliate programme.
The promo code is shared across all Affiliates and must be used as provided. Affiliates may not create, modify, request alternative, or use unauthorised promo codes in connection with the Programme.

Misuse of promo codes or failure to follow tracking requirements may result in commissions being withheld or the Affiliate account being suspended.
Commissions are paid only for completed and confirmed bookings.
At the end of each calendar quarter, Lava Car Rental will review and validate all bookings generated through the Affiliate’s tracking link. Final commission figures are confirmed and shared around the middle of the following month.
The Affiliate will be notified by email and requested to submit an invoice only if the minimum payout threshold of 50,000 ISK is reached.
Upon confirmation, the Affiliate must submit a valid invoice in ISK. Payment is made within 30 days of invoice receipt.
Affiliate tracking is based on a 30-day cookie period.
Lava Car Rental’s tracking system shall be the final authority on bookings and commissions. Lava Car Rental is not responsible for lost tracking due to browser settings, ad blockers, or privacy tools.

Violation may result in immediate termination.
If no bookings are generated through an Affiliate’s tracking link for 12 consecutive months, Lava Car Rental reserves the right to deactivate the affiliate account.
Both parties agree to comply with all applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Affiliates may not collect, store, or process customer personal data beyond what is necessary for affiliate tracking.
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time.
Lava Car Rental reserves the right to suspend or terminate an Affiliate account immediately in cases of:
Lava Car Rental reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be published on the website or communicated by email. Continued participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Icelandic courts.
